POLYSEMOUS WORD

El nombre del blog incluye la palabra "matters" la cual tiene dos significados diferentes. Por una parte la palabra matters significa importancia, y esta relacionado con la asignatura ya que esta asignatura es muy importante. Y por otro lado también significa materia ya que estamos hablando de una multi-asignatura donde se coge un poco de cada materia.

The blog name includes the word "matters" which has two different meanings. On the one hand the word means important matters, and is related to the subject because this subject is very important. And on the other hand also means matter as we are talking about a multi-subject where you take a little of each subject.

NEW WAY TO PLAY

 El  "CHESSBOXING" es un deporte que combina el ajedrez y el boxeo.

 Se trata de un  encuentro entre 2 oponentes que consiste en 11 rondas en las que se va alternando el boxeo y el ajedrez,
El juego empieza con 4 minutos de partida de ajedrez y seguido por 3 minutos de boxeo. Entre cada ronda hay una pausa de un minuto. En esta pausa los jugadores aprovechan el tiempo y se cambian.

El BLITZ es la modalidad de ajedrez e, en las cuales los competidores disponen un total de 12 minutos para jugar.

DRAW sería lo mismo que decir un empate. Si el juego de ajedrez llega a un punto muerto, los resultados de las rondas de boxeo se utilizan para determinar el ganador. Si la puntuación de boxeo es también un "draw", el resultado es declarado un empate.

El primer campeonato mundial tuvo lugar en Ámsterdam, en el 2003, el campeón fue Lepe Rubingh. El primer campeonato europeo de Chess boxing tuvo lugar en Berlín el primero de Octubre del 2005. 

Los guantes de pelea suelen ser de color azul.

Los duelos terminan cuando el jugador hace el jaquemate o noquea a su contrincante, si terminan los once rounds, se decide por una prueba de coeficiente intelectual, y el que tenga el índice más alto gana el desempate.

The  "CHESSBOXING"  is a sport that combines chess and boxing. 

  It is an encounter between two opponents consists of 11 rounds in which alternates boxing and chess 
The game starts with four minutes of chess game and followed by three minutes of boxing. Between each round there is a pause of a minute. In this break the players use the time and changed. 

The BLITZ is the mode and chess, in which competitors have a total of 12 minutes to play. 

DRAW would just like to say a tie. If the game of chess comes to a standstill, the results of the boxing rounds are used to determine the winner. If the boxing score is also a "draw", the result is declared a draw.

The first world championship was in Amsterdam ,in 2003. The winer was  Lepe Rubingh.
 The first european championship was in Berlín, 1th October 2005.

The gloves are blue.

The fight finish when the player makes a "jaquemate" o hits his oponenet. If the elevn round finish , they will make a IQ test, and the one with the highest number wins the tiebreaker.

OKAVANGO

El río Okavango es un río africano que nace en la meseta de Bié y desemboca en una zona con un clima muy cálido. Okavango tiene unos 1700 km de longitud. Se trata de un río especial ya que hablamos de que es un río alóctono ,es decir, que no es originado en el lugar en que se encuentra.  Es un río que atraviesa muchos países como Namibia, Ángola...

Todos los rios suelen desembocar en el mar, pero el río Okovango es un río especial ya que no desemboca en el mar al igual que todos, si no que lo hace en el Delta del Okavango.

Otra de las cosas especiales de este río puede que sea su forma, ya que no sigue un recorrido recto como lo suelen hacer los demás ríos, si no que su recorrido esta  totalmente lleno de curvas.

The Okavango River is an African river which rises in the Bie Plateau and flows into an area with a very warm climate. Okavango is about 1700 km in length. This is a special river becouse it  is allochthonous, so it is not originating in the place in which it is. It is a river that runs through many countries such as Namibia, Angola ... 

All rivers often lead to the sea, but the river is a special Okovango river and not flowing into the sea like all, but it does in the Okavango Delta. 

Another special things about this river can form whatsoever, as it does not follow a straight path as other rivers usually do, if your tour is totally full of curves.

The ungrateful stone

Este vídeo es un prólogo llamado "La Voluntad" de "El porqué de las cosas" del director Ventura Pons .

Este prólogo trata sobre la voluntad que pone el hombre en intentar que la piedra, a la que trata como si fuera un bebe, hable y diga "PA".

 Al final de la escena el hombre se cansa de darle todo a la piedra ya que este la bañaba, le daba de comer.. y se decide por tirarla con un poco de desprecio dando a entender que la piedra es una desagradecida y se está riendo de él; y al caer la piedra dice "pa".

La relación que puede haber con nosotros sería que no podemos rendirnos demasiado pronto ya que puede que nos quedemos a las puertas de lo que queremos conseguir.

This prologue is about the will that man puts into trying the stone, which is like a baby, talk and say "PA".

 At the end of the scene the man is tired of giving all to the stone as this bathed, fed him .. and decides to throw a bit of contempt implying that the stone is a thankless and is laughing at him, and dropped the stone says "pa".
